FLORIDA TURKISH CENTER FOUNDATION

Florida representative Ms. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen visited our Turkish Center on March 26, 2010.
She gave us a speech about Turkish USA relations, importance of grassroots activities and about keeping in contact with legislators.
She also listened to the poems resided by Turkish children, watched and appreciated the paintings prepared by them.
She tasted delicious Turkish food, which were prepared by volunteer Turkish ladies.
Turkish community was very happy to have such visit.

The newspaper of Fortlauderdale By-the-Sea published our Turk Evi on 1/26/2010.

Several activities took place in our new center "Turk Evi"
New Year Ball, Choirs, Computer Class, Poetry Club etc.

The Turkish Center is ready,after almost one full year of struggle, hard work and sweat.
It is just the combination of financial and manpower support of Turkish friends who have been dreaming of this day. Florida Turkish American Association has established in 1964, and formally registered as non-profit organization in 1987. From that day, It was the biggest dream of all Turkish decent American citizens, and we are proud of bring this dream into life. From now on, this space will be acting as binding mortar amongst us.
